FRESNO, Calif. - Fresno State won the doubles point and four straight set singles matches to post a 5-0 victory over the Navy men's tennis team Tuesday at the Spalding G. Wathen Tennis Center in Fresno, Calif.

"Fresno really played to win today," said Navy head coach Chris Garner. "They executed extremely well and put our guys under a lot of pressure."

The Bulldogs (7-6) posted wins at Nos. 1 and 3 doubles to earn the doubles point before claiming each of the first four singles matches to be completed. Several of the singles matches were close ones, including at No. 1 singles where Sai Nakireddi posted a 6-2, 6-3 win over Calvin Mark (Sr., Union City, Calif.) and at the No. 4 flight where Nikolas Papic recorded a 6-4, 6-4 victory over Thomas Pecor (So., Houston, Texas).

Navy (13-5) will remain in Fresno overnight and will face Arizona at the Wathen Tennis Center Wednesday afternoon. Following Wednesday's match against the Wildcats, the Mids will close out their spring break trip with duals Thursday at Saint Mary's and Friday at Pacific.
