"We fought hard against William & Mary yesterday and we had some good takeaways from that match and used that to our advantage today," said head coach Keith Puryear. "In some instances we came out a little slow, but the team accomplished a lot of things that we've been working on."

The Mids had a strong outing in their 6-1 win over St. Bonaventure with straight set victories in No. 3, 4, 5, and 6 singles by winning 36 out of 42 sets. Freshman Catalina Rico won at No. 5 singles without surrendering a game to Francesca Chin of St. Bonaventure.

Freshman Josie Rogers won at No. 2 singles, freshman Anastasia Kondrasov won at No. 3 singles, freshman Carlee Conway won at No. 5 and junior Audrey Channell won at No. 6 singles.

Navy also swept the three doubles matches against St. Bonaventure.

Navy got out to another good start in the Saint Francis U match by winning every doubles match to take the doubles point. Junior Rozel Hernandez and sophomore Kristine Rojo did not lose a game during their doubles match.

Sophomore Amanda Keller, senior Logan Antill, and junior Summer Ralston each won their singles matches in straight sets.

"I love the way we came out in doubles," said Puryear. "I think all three came out very aggressively. We really took the initiative right from the start. Saint Francis did a great job of fighting in singles. They're a scrappy team, they will really come after you."

The Mids return to action on Sunday, January 24 on the road at George Washington.
