Jan. 6, 2016 ANNAPOLIS, Md. - The 15-time College Squash Association National Champion Trinity Bantams extended their season win streak to five in a row by scoring an 8-1 victory over the 15th-ranked Navy squash team (14-5) Wednesday afternoon at the Halsey Field House International Squash Courts in Annapolis.
Navy shuffled its lineup from its last match in December, seeing changes at every position except for the top two.
Despite a hard-fought match at No. 7 by junior Will Walker (Scarborough, N.Y.) who lost in four games, the Mids' lone win of the day came at No. 9 with rookie Alex Patricolo (Southampton, N.Y.) posting an 11-4, 11-9, 4-11, 11-7 victory over Trinity junior William Douglass.
Navy returns to action next Wednesday when it plays host to 13th-ranked George Washington. The Mids had won 23 consecutive matches against the Colonials before GW knocked off Navy, 6-3, in last year's College Squash Association Team Championship.
