ANNAPOLIS, Md. -- The Navy women's tennis team (10-5, 0-1 PL) swept Towson (5-3), 5-2, and Rider (1-9), 7-0, on Sunday at the Tose Family Tennis Center at the Brigade Sports Complex. Navy has won three straight dual matches.

Towson swept the doubles point from Navy, but the Mids rebounded by winning five of the six singles matches to take the 5-2 win.

Sophomore Amanda Keller beat Lucy Williams at No. 1 singles, 6-4, 7-5, to increase her season singles record to 17-10. Sophomore Claudia Mackenzie defeated Sophie Lesage at No. 3 singles, 7-6 (7-2), 6-3.

Conway, the reigning Patriot League Player of the Week, won her 12th straight singles match and improved to 14-3 in singles play. Rogers improved to 17-4 in singles play to keep pace with Keller for the team high.

"I thought today's matches were great team wins all around," said head coach Keith Puryear. "Towson really pushed us and they are a well-coached team. Towson was on a roll and had just beaten George Washington. I give credit to everyone on the team."

Navy won all three doubles matches against Rider and swept the six singles matches in straight sets. Senior Logan Antill and freshman Catalina Rico won at No. 1 doubles, 6-0, sophomore Kristine Rojo and Porter won at No. 2 doubles, 6-1 and freshmen Kellyn Abbanat and Sabrina Jiang won at No. 3 doubles, 6-0.

Antill picked up a 6-2, 6-2 win at No. 1 singles, while freshman Anastasia Kondrasov won at No. 2 singles, 6-0, 6-0. Rico won at No. 3 singles in straight sets as did junior Audrey Channell at No. 4, junior Summer Ralston at No. 5 and Jiang at No. 6.

"We took care of business against Rider," said Puryear. "We didn't allow them to get settled against us and we took control of the match."

Navy improves to 6-0 in the all-time series against Towson and beat Rider in the first meeting between the two schools.

Navy will next host Delaware and Morgan State on Sunday, March 6.
