Scene Setter: Navy will play its regular-season finale on Friday evening (7:00 PM) at Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium, facing Sacred Heart in what will be the inaugural meeting between the two programs. The Mids, who enter the game 9-3 and 7-1 in Patriot League action, are led by fifth-year head coach
Rick Sowell, while the 2-11 Pioneers are under the direction of third-year head coach Jon Basti.

Follow the Action: Friday's contest will be carried live by 1430 AM / 99.9 FM WNAV with Pete Medhurst and Joe Miller handling the call. Coverage begins with the Navy Lacrosse Pregame Show at 6:45 PM. Home is Where the Wins Are: Navy owns a 6-1 record in games played at home this season, marking the first time it has won six games at home since 2007 when they posted a 7-1 mark. It has won five straight games at home, a feat it has not accomplished in a single season since 2005. The Mids haven't won six straight at home in a single season since 1987.

Poll Analysis: #7 Navy is ranked inside the top 10 for a third consecutive week, the longest it has stayed inside the top 10 since the 2007 season when it spent seven weeks in a row among the top nine. Prior to this season, Navy had not been ranked inside the top 10 since 2009. The #7 ranking is the Mids' highest since 2008 when they pushed up to #9 after upsetting third-ranked Maryland. Navy owns a 261-174 record (60.0) when ranked and a 166-104 mark (61.5) when ranked among the top 10.

Patrick Keena needs ONE point to become just the 32nd player in program history to score 100 points and the first since 2014 grads

Tucker Hull (135). Keena is also just 4 points away from becoming the first player to score 50 in a season since Jon Birsner in 2006. Birsner scored 54 points on 18 goals and 36 assists. Ironically, Keena's 25 assists this spring are the most by a Navy player since Birsner's 36.

Stat Fact: Sophomore midfielder
Casey Rees leads Navy with 24 goals this spring, the most by a Navy player since Patrick Moran scored 28 in 2010. Amazingly, Rees has scored just ONE point/goal in the Mids' four nonconference games against Air Force, Johns Hopkins, Delaware and Maryland. That goal was scored with 27 seconds left in regulation and sent the Mids' into overtime against the Blue Jays. He was 1 for 16 (6.3) in the first three games and since then has been 23 for 61 (47.7).

Double Digits: Navy has scored 125 goals in 12 games this season (10.42 G/gm). The Mids have not finished a season averaging double figures since 2007 when they produced 11.00 goals per contest. Navy has reached double figures in 9 games this season and has won 7 in a row when scoring 10 or more goals.
Meet Our Nation's Future Leaders • Navy's senior class has put together a 25-28 record over the last four years, winning 18 of those 25 in the last two seasons. The Mids have also been crowned Patriot League Regular-Season Champions in each of the last two years.
• Navy's seniors will graduate on May 27 and be commissed either 2nd Lieutenants in the Marine Corps or Ensigns in the Navy. Graduates serve a minimum of five years in the Navy or Marine Corps, while pilots serve eight years upon earning their wings.
• On Nov. 19, Navy's seniors received their service assignments. Seven will be commissioned 2nd Lieutenants in the Marine Corps, while eight will serve as Ensigns in the Navy.
Scouting Sacred Heart • Third-year Sacred Heart head coach Jon Basti has guided the Pioneers to a 2-11 record, fielding a team that has 16 freshmen on the roster. While the Pioneers enter Friday's contest having lost 10 in a row, they have played teams tough, including one-goal losses to Hartford and Vermont and a three-goal setback against Air Force, who owns the nation's longest winning streak (11 games). Sacred Heart's two wins this season were against Lafayette (12-8) and Dartmouth (10-8).
• Junior midfielder Brian Masi has been the go-to player throughout the season for the Pioneers, pacing the team with 33 points on 20 goals and 13 assists. Meanwhile senior middie Alex Dodge and rookie midfielder Max Tuttle have contributed 19 and 18 goals, respectively. Both Dodge and Tuttle have scored extra-man goals this season.
• Freshman Greg Price anchors the defense between the pipes, starting 7 of the 10 games in which he's seen action. Price owns a 12.92 goals-against average and a 46.8 save percentage. His supporting cast includes third-year long pole Ryan O'Donoghue, who owns a team-best 27 caused turnovers and 30 ground balls along with senior defenseman Chase Godfrey who has pitched in 15 takeaways and 24 ground balls.
• Sophomore Mike Calvagna has taken the majority of the draws this season, winning 92 of the 178 (51.7) to date, while Andrew Burnett (28-85), Max Tuttle (17-38), O'Donoghue (5-18) and Joel Iverson (0-3) have also been in the mix.
Defense Can Play "O" Too • Navy's defense has also proven to be an asset on offense for the Mids this season. They - close defensemen, long poles and shorties - have combined for 10 goals and 14 assists.

Matt Rees has scored 6 goals and added one assist this season. His 6 goals are the fourth most goals by a defenseman in school history, while his 7 points are also the fourth most.

Chris Fennell turned in a goal and an assist in the win over Holy Cross, pushing his career point total to 6 which is tied with Rees and others for the fourth most in program history.

John Trainor has amassed the most points among the group with 8, punching in 3 goals and adding 5 assists. He has 2 goals and 3 assists in Navy's last 5 contests.
