Offshore Sailing Competes at Chesapeake Bay Championship

Navy is back in action this coming weekend at the Kennedy Cup

ANNAPOLIS, Md. – Navy's offshore sailing team had three crews compete in the J/105 Chesapeake Bay Championship this weekend.
 
A total of 21 teams competed and five races were completed in the series that saw a wide range of conditions.
 
Navy's Avenger led the way for the Midshipmen with captain Hayden Kuzemchak leading his crew of Don Poirier, Jared Casados, Ashley Koenig, JP Post and Eddie Rankin to an eighth-place finish. Dreadnought placed 12th overall where Ethan Falsone skippered Matt Gilchrist, Katie Boyle, Ian Flynn, Paul Jervis and Teagan Foley.
 
The Midshipmen's final boat was headed by George Hamilton. Hamilton's crew on Allegiance finished 15th and included Cody Spedero, Phil Smith, Adam Lance Liz Hauschild and Connor Hallett. 
 
Navy is back in action this weekend at the Kennedy Cup in Annapolis.
