MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. -- Navy's Bradley Buchter (So., Hickory, N.C.) placed 26th in the one-meter springboard event at the NCAA Men's Diving Championship Thursday in Minneapolis, Minn.

Buchter scored 315 points over the course of his six dives today. He previously placed 22nd in the one-meter event at the 2017 national championship.

"Bradley dove well today," said Navy head coach Rich MacDonald. "He had a couple of minor misses that took him out of the finals, but that is what happens at a meet like this. You can't miss anything. I was happy and proud of the way he dove. To finish where he did with the competition as deep as it is was a good outing. We are looking forward to Friday's three-meter board, which is a strong event for him."

Friday's three-meter competition will begin at 1:15 p.m. EDT.
