Sixteenth-Ranked Mids Take Down Dickinson on the Road

CARLISLE, Pa. — The 16th-ranked Navy men's squash team (4-3) played its first of five matches scheduled for this week on Wednesday when it scored a 9-0 road victory over No. 26 Dickinson (0-3). It marked the first time in the nine-match series history the two teams have faced one another on Dickinson's home court.

The Highlights
•  Navy improved to 4-3 on the year and 9-0 all-time against Dickinson.
•  The Mids won five of the nine matches by 3-0 marks, while Millen Randell (Fr / Chicago, Ill.) put forth a veteran effort in a five-game victory over Dickinson junior Osuman Imoro. Randell jumped out to an early 2-0 advantage at the No. 4 position, but Imoro staged a comeback with a big 13-11 win in the third game to extend the match. Imoro used the momentum to take game four, 11-8, and force a fifth and deciding match. Randell held court and secured the victory with an 11-8 victory in the fifth to improve to 4-3.
•  Sophomores Ryan York (Hunt Valley, Md.) and Gus Prager (New York, N.Y.), along with rookie Tommy Rankin (Atlanta, Ga.) all needed an extra game in their quest for a win over their respective foes, but all managed 3-1 victories.
•  Team captain Michael Kacergis (Sr / Malvern, Pa.) cruised to a 3-0 victory over junior Tanay Murdia at the No. 2 position en route to capturing his 54th career win. He is now just one shy of joining the Mids' all-time top-25 wins list.
•  Jack Lentz (Jr / Philadelphia, Pa.) captured his team-best fifth win of the year, defeating Red Devils senior Alexander Wattles, 11-4, 11-7, 11-7, at the No. 1 spot.

What's Ahead
• Four matches are on tap for the Mids this weekend when they play host to their final round robin of the year, as well as their final matches of the calendar year.
