Navy Football Ranked 23rd In Both Polls

The Navy football team (9-2), coming off a 56-41 win over Houston, moved up to 23rd in both the Associated Press and Coaches Polls. The Mids have been ranked in four of the last five weeks and the four Top 25 rankings are the most since 2016 when the Mids were ranked four times.

Three Navy opponents are also ranked as Notre Dame is 14th in both polls, Memphis is 16th and Air Force is 25th.  Navy owns a win over Air Force and lost to both Notre Dame and Memphis. Another team that Navy beat, SMU, just missed being ranked receiving the 26th most votes in both polls.

Navy plays Army (5-7) in the annual Army-Navy Game presented by USAA on Saturday, Dec. 14 at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia.  A win over Army would not only give Navy the Commander-In-Chief's Trophy for the 11th time in the last 17 years, but would also give the Mids a chance to tie the school record for wins in a season (11) with a win in the bowl game.  Navy will find out its bowl opponent next Sunday.
