ANNAPOLIS, Md.--The Navy football team (9-2) is ranked 24th in the penultimate college football playoff rankings, one spot lower than what they are ranked in the Associated Press and USA Today Coaches Poll.  Navy is one of three American Athletic Conference teams that are ranked, joining Cincinnati (#20) and Memphis (#17).

The Mids are off this week before traveling to Philadelphia on Saturday, Dec. 14 to take on the Army Black Knights (5-7) in the annual Army-Navy Game presented by USAA.  Navy enters the game having won two-straight and seven of its last eight contests.  Navy Football has been ranked in the Associated Press Top 25 a total of 15 weeks since joining the American Athletic Conference in 2015.  Prior to joining the AAC, the Mids were ranked for one week the previous 35 years (at the end of the 2004 season).

Navy will find out its bowl destination on Sunday during ESPN's College Football Selection Show (12:00-4:00 PM).
