CENTER VALLEY, Pa. - The Patriot League announced its 2018 Academic Honor Roll last week and the Navy women's cross country team was recognized with seven student-athletes on the list. The Mids' award winners were led by team captain Erin McDonnell (Sr., Traverse City, Mich.), who garnered the honor for the fourth straight season. The honors oceanography major posted a 3.67 GPA in the fall semester, while competing for the Midshipmen.

To be eligible for the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll, a student-athlete must have earned a 3.20 grade-point average in the fall semester.

Joining their classmate McDonnell on the Honor Roll are seniors Rachel Fairbanks (Jamesville, N.Y., Oceanography, 3.83 GPA) and Annika Pearson (Glen Ellyn, Ill., Political Science, 3.60 GPA). Fairbanks completed her cross country career as a three-time honoree, while Pearson made her way onto the list for the second time as a Midshipmen student-athlete.

A quartet of underclassmen also met the 3.20 GPA threshold to round out Navy's award winners. Sophomores Morgan Bollinger (Lockport, Ill., Physics, 3.84 GPA) and Annie Imhof (Great Mills, Md., Aerospace Engineering, 3.33 GPA) lead the group as both student-athletes collected the honor for the second straight season. Freshmen Pippin Robison (Sheridan, Wyo.) and Maddie Warrender (Mount Wolf, Pa.) posted matching 4.00 GPAs. Robison and Warrender are two of 18 cross country student-athletes across the Patriot League to attain the perfect grade point average in the fall.
