SYRACUSE, N.Y. – Navy women's tennis (19-6, 2-0 Patriot League) capped off its first Patriot League weekend with a 7-0 victory over Colgate (3-12, 1-3 Patriot League) on Sunday as the Midshipmen swept its weekend road trip.
With a straight-set victory in singles competition,

Hodge is tied for sixth in program history with 53 doubles wins and she has the third-best doubles winning percentage, .716, in the program.
"I liked our response to today's match," head coach
Keith Puryear commented after the victory. "It was important that we recover from yesterday's match at Lehigh and be ready for an always feisty Colgate team."
Navy's freshmen pair of
Katreina Corpuz (Ewa Beach, Hawaii) and
Meghana Komarraju (Vienna, Va.) got the Midshipmen out to an early lead in the race for the doubles point after winning a 6-2 match at No. 2 doubles against Madi Kiani and Lauren O'Brien.
The clinching doubles point for Navy came at No. 3 with
Danika Kahatapitiya (Jr., Virginia Beach, Va.) and
Tina Li (So., Wexford, Pa.) dropping just one game in a 6-1 win against Callie Bartimer and Elizabeth Laub.
Amanda Cyr (So., Cary, N.C.) and
Catalina Rico (Sr., San Jose, Calif.) secured the sweep in doubles for the Midshipmen with a 6-3 win against Mackenzie Deeter and Jordan Williams at the top-seeded doubles match.
Aimee Dervishian (Jr., Milton, Ga.) doubled Navy's lead to 2-0 at the start of singles competition with a 6-1, 6-1 win over Bartimer at No. 5 singles.
Brooke Bogdanovich (So., Suwanee, Ga.) earned a 6-3, 6-1 victory at No. 6 singles against Nicole Condas to extend the Midshipmen's advantage to 3-0.
Hodge not only earned win No. 100 on Sunday, but she also clinched the team victory for Navy at No. 2 singles against Williams, 6-0, 6-3. With the match in hand,
Ansofi Wreder (Jr., Miami, Fla.) picked up a straight-set victory for Navy at No. 1, 7-5, 6-3, against Deeter.
The final two matches on the court went to three sets. At No. 4 singles,
Kacey Moore (Fr., Wellington, Fla.) dropped the opening set, 6-4, but rallied to win the second set, 6-3, and she then won the tiebreaking third set, 1-0 (10-3), against Kiani. The final match featured
Annalise Klopfer (Fr., Palm Harbor, Fla.) also falling in the opening set, 6-4, but she picked up the final two sets, 6-3, 6-2, to complete the 7-0 sweep for the Midshipmen.
"We were challenged today but did a good job of finding our way through the rough patches of the match," Puryear remarked. "I liked the response from Amanda [Cyr] and Catalina [Rico] at No. 1 doubles after losing a tough one yesterday. Same for Ansofi [Wreder]. She recovered well from yesterday's match and fought hard to win in straight sets. Kaylah [Hodge] played a very solid match at two as did Aimee [Dervishian] and Brooke [Bogdanovich], while Kacey [Moore] and Annalise [Klopfer] fought hard through three-setters to win.
"There are a lot of positives to take from this weekend as we now prepare for Saturday's N-star match."
Navy is back in action next weekend as they travel to West Point, N.Y., to take on rival Army in the first Star Match of the spring. First serve is set for Saturday at 11 a.m.
