Navy Men’s Basketball Alumni Weekend Set for Friday And Saturday

The annual Navy men's basketball alumni weekend will take place on Friday and Saturday at the Naval Academy. 
 
Twenty-six former players are returning for the festivities which will include watching the team practice on Friday afternoon, a social at the Officer's Club on Friday evening, the Alumni Game on Saturday at 12:30 PM at Alumni Hall, a luncheon following the alumni game and the Navy-Lafayette game at 4:00 PM on Saturday.
 
Admission for the Alumni Game is free and a shuttle bus will run from the press box side of Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium starting at 11:30 AM for those that don't have a Department of Defense ID.  Tickets for Saturday's Navy-Lafayette game will be available at the  Alumni Hall ticket window and shuttle busses will run continuously from the press box side of the football stadium to the arena throughout the day.

CHRISHARRIS(Class of 2010)
• One of two players in school history to win three All-Patriot League honors.
• Ranks fifth in career points (1,635) and first in three-point field goals made (288).
• Averaged 13.6 ppg, 2.3 rpg and 2.1 apg in 120 career games.
 
KWAME OFORI (Class of 2004)
• Two-year letter winner in 2003 and 2004.
• Averaged 4.3 ppg, 1.0 rpg and 1.8 apg in 64 career games.
• Averaged 6.3 points per game as a senior in 2003-04.
 
Matt Sladky (Class of 1998)
• A three-year letterwinner, Sladky helped Navy to two NCAA trips.
• Served as an assistant coach at Navy from 2006-08.
• Averaged 5.8 ppg and 2.2 rpg in 82 career games at Navy.
 
Skip Victor (Class of 1999)
• A three-year letter winner and all-league selection in 1999.
• Helped squad to a pair of NCAA Tournaments (1997, 1998).
• Averaged 8.2 ppg, 4.2 rpg and 2.7 apg in 72 career games.

MIKEWALL(Class of 1999)
• Helped team to 1997 NCAA Tournament.

HASSAN BOOKER(Class of 1998)

• Four-year letter winner and two-time All-Patriot League First Team honoree.
• Named to the Patriot League All-Decade Team ('00) and 25th Anniversary Team ('15).
 
Ryan Lookabill (Class of 1998)
• Two-year letter winner in 1997 and 1998.
• Helped team to 1997 and 1998 NCAA Tournaments.
 
Aaron Smith (Class of 1999)
• Three-year member of the varsity team; Lettered in 1997.
• Scored 110 points with 59 assists and 44 rebounds over 61 career games.
• Helped Midshipmen to two NCAA Tournaments (1997, 1998).
 
BRIAN WALKER (Class of 1997)
• Four-year letter winner and two-time all-league selection.
• Helped lead team to the NCAA Tournament in 1994 and 1997.
• Ranks second in school history in assists (531) and steals (193).

• A three-year letter winner for the Mids in 1999, 2000 and 2001.
• Helped team to 1998 NCAA Tournament.

HANK EGAN (Class of 1960)
• Scored 280 career points in 58 games played.
• Helped Navy to a pair of NCAA Tournament appearances in 1959 and 1960.
• Two-time letterwinner at Navy.
 
MICHAELHEARY(Class of 1998)
• Helped Mids to two NCAA Tournaments (1997, 1998).
• Two-time All-PL selection; sixth on school's scoring list (1,590).
• Averaged 14.1 ppg, 3.0 rpg and 2.2 apg in 113 career games.
 
DAVID HOOPER (Class of 2006)
• Four-year letter winner who scored 717 points in 103 career games.
• Ranks 11th in program history in career 3-pointers made with 134.
• Named to the Patriot League All-Rookie Team in 2003.
 
DICK JOHNSON (Class of 1959)
• In 65 games, he averaged 8.4 points a game.
• Captained Navy to the Sweet 16 in NCAA Tournament in 1959.
• Three-time letter winner.
 
BILL KIRVAN (Class of 1962)
• Lettered in 1961 and 1962.
• Scored 417 career points to average 10.7 points over two seasons.
• Shot 50.1 percent overall for his career and averaged 3.9 rebounds a game.
 
EDDIE LUCAS (Class of 1998)
• In 27 games averaged 10.7 points a game.
• Grabbed 127 rebounds in his career.
• Lettered for Navy in 1996.
 
JOHN MASCALI (Class of 1959)
• Played on Navy's 1959 Sweet Sixteen team
• Three-time letter winner
 
JAY METZLER (Class of 1960)
• Made two appearances in the NCAA Tournament.
• Lettered in 1959 and 1960.
• Scored 848 points and collected 548 rebound in his career.
 
MIKE PALUMBO (Class of 1998)
• Helped Navy capture two Patriot League titles and advance to two NCAA Tournaments.
• Three-year letter winner.
• Scored 92 points with 90 rebounds in 32 career games.
 
EDDIE REDDICK (Class of 1991)
• Two-time Second Team All-CAA selection.
• Named to the 1988 CAA All-Rookie Team
• Lettered in all four seasons and served as the team captain as a senior
 
AL SWANSON (Class of 1958)
• 1958 NABC All-District Honorable Mention honoree.
• Three-time letter winner and team captain in 1958.
