"It has been a really rough week with six-week exams and the passing and funeral of MIDN Duke Carrillo," head coach Keith Puryear said. "Our team sends our thoughts and condolences to his family, friends, and all who's life he touched.

"Coach Ale and I both felt the ladies did a good job dealing with the challenges faced in both matches today. I thought both teams fought well and pushed us to compete for each point. We dealt with the rough patches we had in some of the matches very well. We will now start preparing for next weekend's matches."

Navy hits the road for the first time during its spring season next time out as it heads to Washington, D.C. to take on George Washington at 1 p.m. next Saturday.
