Malcolm Perry and Keenan Reynolds to appear on WMAR-TV Draft Show

Former Navy quarterbacks Malcolm Perry and Keenan Reynolds will appear on WMAR-TV's (Channel 2 in Baltimore) Draft Show tonight at 7:30 pm. The show will be a lead-in to the draft coverage on ABC, ESPN and the NFL Network. The two former quarterbacks were interviewed together on a Zoom call earlier this week by Shawn Stepner.

Reynolds was drafted in the sixth round of the 2016 draft by the Baltimore Ravens, making him just the 16th Naval Academy graduate to be drafted and the fifth to go in the top seven rounds.

Reynolds finished his Navy career with a 32-13 record, which is the most wins in school history by a quarterback. He finished fifth in the Heisman Trophy voting that year and was named a Third-Team All-American by the Associated Press. He was named the winner of the Sullivan Award, which is given to the nation's top amateur athlete.

Reynolds led Navy to a school record 11 wins against just two losses in 2015 and finished the year ranked 18th in the country in both the Associated Press and Coaches poll

He is the only quarterback in the history of the Army-Navy game to win four games.

Reynolds scored 88 touchdowns in his career, which are the most rushing touchdowns in Division I history and the most total touchdowns in FBS (Football Bowl Subdivision) history.

His 4,559 career rushing yards are the most in FBS history by a quarterback and the most in school history by any player.

Perry helped lead Navy to a school-record 11 wins, victories over Air Force and Army to win the Commander-In-Chief's Trophy, a share of the American Athletic Conference West Division title and a win over Kansas State in the Liberty Bowl.  Additionally, Navy's eight-game improvement from the previous year marked the second-biggest turnaround in FBS history.

Perry rushed for a school-record and FBS record (by a quarterback) 2,017 yards and 21 touchdowns while completing 48 of his 86 passes for 1,084 yards and seven touchdowns.  His 181.58 passing efficiency mark was also a Navy record.

Perry's 11 100-yard rushing games were a school record, as were his 10-consecutive 100-yard rushing games.

Perry set a program record for most 200-yard rushing games in a season with three, including his epic Army-Navy game-record 304 yards in the Mids' 31-7 rout of Army.

Perry led the country in explosive runs (runs of 20 yards or more) with 26, while his 21 rushing touchdowns were the most in the FBS this season by a quarterback, third most by any player and the 11th most in FBS history by a quarterback.

Perry was named the American Athletic Conference and ECAC Offensive Player of the Year and was the Liberty Bowl and Army-Navy Game Most Valuable Player.

Navy finished the year ranked 20th in both the Associated Press and USA Today Coaches polls.  The No. 20 ranking is the highest final ranking for a Navy team since 2015 when the Mids were ranked 18th and it marks just the second time in the last 56 years that Navy finished the year ranked in the Associated Press Top 20.

The NFL Draft will take place on Thursday (first round), Friday (second and third rounds) and Saturday (fourth-seventh rounds). Perry, nose guard Jackson Pittman, long snapper Michael Pifer and linebacker Nizaire Cromartie all have a chance at either being drafted or signed as undrafted free agents.
