Rising senior Maddi Sgattoni (Pittsburgh, Pa.) has been selected as the captain for the 2020 Navy volleyball season.  Program head coach Paco Labrador announced Sgattoni's role today.

Sgattoni has earned multiple Patriot League accolades over the last two seasons.  She received second-team honors in 2019 after garnering a first-team nod in 2018.  Sgattoni's 2018 campaign was capped by her being named the MVP of the league tournament as her 25 kills in the championship match powered the Mids into the NCAA Tournament for the first time as a Divison I program.

Sgattoni ranks seventh in Navy's Division I era with 1,026 kills and stands fourth with a career kills-per-set average of 3.17.  She also has amassed 764 career digs and ranks seventh with 118 career service aces.
