ANNAPOLIS, Md.—Navy senior fullback Isaac Ruoss has been named Academic All-District by the College Sports Information Directors of America.  Ruoss, who carries a 3.87 grade point average in Quantitative Economics, will now be eligible for Academic All-American honors.
 
Ruoss is Navy's leading rusher on the year, running for 510 yards and two touchdowns on 133 carries (3.8 yards per carry).  He rushed for a career-high 84 yards and a touchdown in Navy's win over UCF and had 80 yards on 19 carries in the Mids seven-point loss to Cincinnati.
 
The Naval Academy has produced 11 First-Team CoSIDA Academic All-Americans in football since the award first started in 1952. More than half, six, have come since Ken Niumatalolo became the head coach in 2008.
 
Travis Brannan and Eric Cal, in 2019, are the last two Navy football players to be named First-Team Academic All-American by CoSIDA.
