The Navy squash team (0-2) concluded the weekend with a 9-0 loss to Virginia (2-0) Sunday afternoon at the McArthur Squash Center in Charlottesville, Va.
After playing with just seven players in Saturday's match against the Mids, the Cavaliers were able to field a full squad in Sunday's win. While the Mids were unable to win an individual match, there were a number of solid performances including junior
Ryan York (Hunt Valley, Md.) who fell short in five games to Cullen Little. Little, who dropped a three-game decision to Navy team captain
Jack Lentz (Sr / Philadelphia, Pa.) on Saturday, was forced to rally after York won games two and three, 13-11 and 12-10, respectively. Little took games four and five, 11-8 and 11-9, to take the win at the No. 2 spot.
Meanwhile, Lentz,
Millen Randell (So / Chicago, Ill.),
Charles Heath (Fr / Greenwich, Conn.) and
Ben Korn (Jr / Stevenson, Md.) pushed their foes to four games before bowing out.
The Midshipmen will be back in action on March 13 and 14 when they are scheduled to play George Washington in Washington, D.C.
