ANNAPOLIS, Md. – Navy's junior pair of
Sally Johnson and
Olivia de Olazarra were named this week's NAAA Athletes of the Week presented by Northrop Grumman, after leading the Navy intercollegiate sailing team to a sixth-place finish at the ICSA Women's National Championship this past week.

The duo of de Olazarra and Johnson finished second overall in the A division of the national championship after collecting 95 points over 16 races. The Midshipmen were just 11 points behind Boston College who finished first in the A division and the 95 points paced Navy to sixth overall in the 18-team championship field.

During the 16 races in the A division at nationals, de Olazarra and Johnson finished in the top-five of the 18-boat division 10 different times and also finished second in four races while also winning the fifth race in the series.

Earlier this season, de Olazarra and Johnson finished first overall at the MAISA South Women's Championship to help Navy win the conference title as a team to punch its ticket to last week's national championship.

The Midshipmen now head into their final stretch of the championship season with ICSA Team Race Nationals on June 2-3 and the ICSA Coed Nationals on June 7-8. Navy will host both championships in Annapolis.
