Kinley and Gibbs Named CoSIDA Academic All-District

Senior cornerback Cameron Kinley and senior long snapper Kyle Gibbs have been named Academic All-District by the College Sports Information Directors of America.  Kinley and Gibbs advance to the CoSIDA Academic All-America ballot. First and second team Academic All-America honorees will be announced in early July.
 
Kinley, who was also a team captain and the senior class president, graduated with a 3.34 grade point average in political science. Gibbs graduated with a 3.87 grade point average in Ocean Engineering. 
 
Navy has had six CoSIDA First-Team Academic All-Americans in the last 10 years.  Prior to 2010, the Mids had just five in school history. Travis Brannan and Eric Cal were named First-Team Academic All-Americans in 2019.
