Box Score ANNAPOLIS, Md. – Sidney Paris (So., Oakville, Ontario) tallied a goal and an assist for the second time in three games while Tyler Fahning (Sr., Victoria, Minn.) added his fifth shutout of the season to lead the Navy men's soccer team (6-1-1, 1-1-0 Patriot League) to a 3-0 victory over Colgate (0-8-0, 0-2-0 Patriot League) Saturday at the Raiders' Beyer-Small '76 Field.

The 3-0 decision over Colgate marked the 700th win in program history for the Midshipmen, becoming just the 15th NCAA Division I men's soccer team to reach the 700-win landmark.

The Mids had a dominant afternoon on offense led by Paris who recorded three points on a goal and an assist. Baba Kallie (So., Coatesville, Pa.) added his third goal of the season in addition to Jacob Williams (Sr., Millersville, Md.) netting his first score of the 2021 season.

"I was happy with the way the group bounced back after last week's loss to Boston," said head coach Tim O'Donohue. "These were two tough road games on the turf, we finally finished our chances and put together another very good defensive performance."

The first half proved to be a defensive battle, with the Raiders turning away each of the first six shots, three being on goal, while the Midshipmen backline limited Colgate to just a single shot attempt that was denied by Fahning to send the contest to halftime scoreless.

Just two minutes after the intermission, Williams played a pass from Paris into the back of the net to give the Midshipmen a one-score advantage in the 47th minute.

Navy continued to push the pace following the score, with Williams adding two more shots before Paris worked around a crowd of defenders and lined an attempt into the bottom-left corner of the net for his third goal of the season, giving Navy a 2-0 lead at the 72:21 mark.

The offensive outburst for the Midshipmen carried into the final minutes of the contest as Kallie worked his way from midfield to the net for his third score of the season in the 87th minute, solidifying a 3-0 Patriot League victory for Navy.

Not to be overlooked was the defensive effort by the Mids, limiting Colgate to just seven shots, two being on goal, along with turning away 10 corner-kick attempts by the Raiders. Fahning, who paced the Navy backline with two saves, has recorded five shutouts through eight games this season.

The Midshipmen led the way in total shots (10-7) and shots on goal (4-2) while Colgate compiled a 10-7 edge in corner kicks.

Adam Fam paced the Raider attack with two shots while goalkeeper Nick Gerlach tallied three saves while allowing three scores over 90 minutes in net.

Navy is set to return to action September 29 as it welcomes Lafayette to the Glenn Warner Soccer Facility for a Patriot League contest. Opening kick of the match is set for 7 p.m.
