ANNAPOLIS, Md.—Sophomore fullback Daba Fofana (Cumming, Ga.) has been named the NAAA Athlete of the Week presented by Northrop Grumman.
 
Fofana rushed for a career-high 159 yards and scored the first three touchdowns of his career on 21 carries to lead Navy to a 53-21 rout of Tulsa on Saturday.
 
Fofana scored all three touchdowns in the second quarter on runs of 47, 15 and 11 yards.  The 159 yards rushing was the most by a Navy fullback since 2019 when Jamale Carothers rushed for 188 yards against Houston, while his three rushing touchdowns were the most by any Navy players since Carothers' five rushing touchdowns in that same Houston game.
 
Navy's 53 points scored on Saturday was the most by the Mids since scoring 56 against Houston in 2019, while the 455 yards rushing are the 25^th most in school history and the most since rushing for 484 against Lehigh in 2018. It is also the fourth most rushing yards in a game by any team in the FBS this year.
