NEW ORLEANS, La. – All-Region honorees for the 2022 NCAA Division I Cross Country season were recognized on Sunday evening by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) following Regional Championships Friday. Navy's Emily Boutin (Chicopee, Mass.), who finished 11th overall at the Mid-Atlantic Regional was recognized as All-Region.
 
A total of 225 men from 94 different programs and 225 women from 102 different programs earned All-Region distinction by virtue of a top-25 finish at one of the nine regional sites this past weekend. Only athletes from USTFCCCA member institutions are eligible for awards.
 
Powered by Boutin's 11th-place finish, the Navy women's cross country team registered a seventh-place team finish at the NCAA Mid-Atlantic Regional on Friday morning at the Penn State Cross Country Course in University Park, Pa., tying for the best finish for the Midshipmen over the past 15 years (2008, '11, '12, '21).
 
Boutin clocked a time of 20:38.0 in the 6K event to finish 11th overall and earn All-Region distinction. The time was the junior's second-fastest 6K time of the season coming in 1.2 second back of her Patriot League Championship winning time of 20:36.8. Boutin's performance was 56 seconds faster than her time in the Spiked Shoe Invitational on the same course earlier in the year.
