BETHLEHEM, Pa. – The 2022 Patriot League Women's Lacrosse Championship field is set with Loyola Maryland (16-1, 9-0 PL) clinching the regular-season title and hosting duties for the semifinals and championship game. The Greyhounds and No. 2 Army West Point (12-5, 7-2 PL) earned byes to the semifinal round.
The two-time defending champion Greyhounds will host the semifinals and championship game for the eighth-straight time since joining the Patriot League for the 2014 season.
No. 3 Navy (13-4, 7-2 PL) and No. 4 Colgate (6-11, 5-4 PL) will host quarterfinal-round games on Sunday, May 1. The Mids welcome No. 6 American (9-8, 4-5 PL) at noon at Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium in Annapolis, Md. The Raiders welcome No. 5 Lehigh (8-8, 5-4 PL) to Crown Field at Andy Kerr Stadium in Hamilton, N.Y., at 1 p.m. Both games will be available live on ESPN+.
Top-seeded Loyola Maryland will host the lowest remaining seed to advance through the quarterfinals at 3 p.m. on Thursday, May 5, to open the semifinal round. The second-seeded Black Knights will take on the highest remaining seed at 7 p.m. at Ridley Athletic Complex in Baltimore, Md. The semifinal round of the Patriot League Women's Lacrosse Championship will be available live on ESPN+.
The 2022 Patriot League Women's Lacrosse Championship Game is scheduled for Saturday, May 7, with live coverage on CBS Sports Network beginning at 2 p.m. Jason Knapp and Taylor Cummings will provide the call for the nationally televised championship game.
