Special Recognition (30)
•  Navy collected its eighth-consecutive Patriot League Presidents' Cup and ninth in 10 years, claiming nine league championships during the 2021-22 academic year to sit atop the overall standings. Navy's current streak of eight-consecutive overall titles is the most in Patriot League Presidents' Cup history, surpassing Bucknell's streak of seven-straight titles from 1998 to 2004.
• Navy alum and current head water polo coachÂ
Luis Nicolao ('92) was officially inducted into the Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) Hall of Fame during the 2021 Mid-Atlantic Water Polo Water Polo Conference (MAWPC) Championship weekend. Nicolao was supposed to be inducted during the 2020 tournament, but it was postponed by the COVID-19 pandemic.
• Navy men's soccer seniorÂ
Matt Nocita was selected with the seventh overall pick of the 2022 MLS SuperDraft by the New York Red Bulls, making the standout defender the highest-drafted player in program and Patriot League men's soccer history.

Alexa Riddle (Women's Soccer) was named to the College Soccer News All-Freshman Second Team
• The Navy squash team was presented the 2022 Sloane Award by the College Squash Association. The Sloane Award is presented annually to the men's team exhibiting a high level of sporting behavior.

Jennifer Coleman (Women's Basketball) became the first Navy Women's Basketball player to ever be named an AP All-American and just the third player in Patriot League History. She joins Angela Dobbs as the only two All-Americans in program history. Dobbs was a Division II Kodak All-American in 1990-91.
• Men's track and field seniorÂ
David Nelsen broke the school record in the 1-mile run at the 2022 BU David Hemery Valentine Invitational, marking the second sub-4-minute mile in program history. Nelsen won his heat with a new school record time of 3:59.52. The senior became the second Midshipmen to ever clock a time under four minutes in the mile, joiningÂ
Jake Brophy ('20)Â who crossed the finish line with a then-school record time of 3:59.98 at BU as a senior in 2020.

Josh Williams (Gymnastics) was one of eight gymnastics to be recognized as a finalist for the 2022 Nissen-Emery Award. Presented since 1966, the Nissen-Emery Award is the "Heisman Trophy" of collegiate gymnastics, Williams is just the fourth Midshipman in program history to achieve this status and first since 2012.
• Men's Tennis advanced to the NCAA Tournament where it lost, 4-1, to No. 15 North Carolina. The point scored by the Mids – earned when they won the doubles point – was the first recorded by a Patriot League team in the NCAA Tournament since 1999 when Navy's Mitch Koch won a singles match.
• At the conference championship meet, freshman
Marleigh Duncan (Rifle) was crowned the GARC individual smallbore champion after scoring 592 points, tying the program record for individual smallbore scoring for the second time on the season. She became the first student-athlete in program history to win a GARC Championship individual title.

Christian Policelli (Baseball) was named the winner of the 2022 Baseball Senior CLASS Award.  The award, chosen by a vote of Division I baseball coaches, national baseball media and fans, is given annually to the most outstanding senior or graduate-level student-athlete in Division I baseball. Policelli becomes the fourth student-athlete from Navy to win the Senior CLASS Award. He is the first in school history to win the award in the baseball category and just the second Patriot League student-athlete to do so.

Eduardo Diaz (Baseball) was named the Patriot League Defensive Player of the Year, becoming the second player in program history to earn the award.

Paul Kostacopoulos (Baseball) became the 19th active, 92nd all-time, head coach across all divisions to reach 1,000 career victories in a 13-10 win over Mount St. Mary's on April 13.

Paul Kostacopoulos (Baseball) became the second head coach in Navy baseball history to reach 500 career victories in Annapolis with a 5-3 win over Lafayette on April 30.

Diego Fagot (Football) was the 2021-22 recipient of the Thompson Trophy Cup, is presented to that midshipman, male or female, who has done the most during the year to promote athletics at the Naval Academy.

Paul Johnson is one of nine FBS coaches on the 2023 College Football Hall of Fame ballot released today by the National Football Foundation & College Hall of Fame.

Reagan Roelofs  was selected to play in the 2022 Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association Senior All-Star Game, while

Rob Friedrich (Heavyweight Rowing) was named as the first-ever Tom & Candy Knudson Director of Navy Rowing as the position became endowed. That is the first and only named head coaching position for Navy Athletics
• SeniorÂ
Griffin Dunne was selected as the 2021 USRowing Under-23 Co-Male National Team Athlete of the Year. Dunne shared the honor with Gus Rodriguez. Both men rowed with the United States' men's eight crew at the 2021 Under-23 World Rowing Championship and helped the Americans earn a silver medal
• Navy women's lacrosse won its 200th game in program history as the Midshipmen defeated Cal, 18-10,  at Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium in the 2022 season opener.
