SPRINGFIELD, Ohio -- Current Navy volleyball head coach
Paco Labrador has been announced as a member of this year's induction class for the Wittenberg Athletics Hall of Honor.
Labrador served as the head coach at Wittenberg for 15 seasons (2003-17). His teams compiled an overall record of 455-71, a 162-2 record in the North Coast Athletic Conference regular season and a 35-1 record in the conference tournament. The Tigers earned at least a share of 14 NCAC regular season crowns and won 14 tournament titles.
Wittenberg advanced to the NCAA (DIII) Tournament in each of Labrador's 15 seasons. The Tigers made at least the semifinal match six times, reached the championship match three times and won the 2011 NCAA title.
Individually, Labrador was recognized as the NCAC Coach of the Year eight times, the AVCA Great Lakes Region Coach of the Year in 2004 and '07 and the 2011 AVCA National (DIII) Coach of the Year.
Labrador left Wittenberg to become the head coach at Navy in the spring of 2018. He led the Mids to the program's first Patriot League Tournament title in his first season.
