DALLAS, Texas – Navy women's golf senior Stephanie Lee is set for a homecoming at one of the premier events in collegiate golf this week, as the Southlake, Texas native will represent the Midshipmen on Oct. 9-10 at the third annual Jackson T. Stephens Cup in Dallas, Texas.
 
Being played at the Trinity Forest Golf Club, Lee opens the tournament on Monday with the first two rounds of stroke play at 8:50 a.m. ET, while Lee's tee time for the final round of stroke play Tuesday is to be determined.
 
The Stephens Cup will be broadcast on the GOLF Channel on Monday (4-7 p.m.) and Tuesday (3-6 p.m.).
 
The Tournament
The prestigious Stephens Cup will be played Oct. 9-11 at the par-72, 6,466-yard Trinity Forest Golf Club … The Stephens Cup is named in memory of the late Augusta National Chairman Jackson T. Stephens, who attended the Naval Academy where he graduated as a member of the Class of 1947 … The field at Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium is named Jack Stephens Field, whose gift of $10 million in 2003 aided in the renovations of Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium, as well as a handful of other projects part of the United States Naval Academy Campaign; Leaders to Serve the Nation … The tournament features NCAA Division I National Championship-contending men's and women's teams alongside collegiate players representing Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) and the United States Service Academies … After Monday and Tuesday's 54 holes of stroke play, the top four teams from stroke play will face off in match play on Wednesday, Oct. 11.
 
The Field
The women's field includes teams from No. 1 Arkansas, No. 18 Duke, No. 6 South Carolina, No. 2 Stanford, No. 12 Texas, No. 5 Texas A&M and No. 3 Wake Forest … In addition to Lee, special invitations to individual stroke play went to Shani Waite (Prairie View A&M), Kendall Jackson (Howard) and Miness Siame (Texas Southern).

Ranking third on the team with a 76.88 scoring average this season, Lee has posted a pair of top-10 finishes through three tournaments … After placing 10th at the Bucknell Invitational with a score of 17-over par 227 (76-71-80), Lee shot a 21-over par 237 (76-79-82) at the Nittany Lion Invitational to finish 44th … Lee most recently scored a 7-over par 151 (74-77) at the Navy Fall Invitational, tying for fifth place.
 
Mids at the Stephens Cup
Navy has sent a golfer to each of the first two Stephens Cups … Tori Smith was selected for the inaugural Stephens Cup in 2021 at the Alotian Club in Roland, Ark., as her rounds of 86-82-81 gave her a final score of 33-over par 249 that landed her 34th in stroke play … Eve Worden represented the Mids in 2022 at the Seminole Golf Club in Juno Beach, Fla., taking 36th in a loaded field after scoring a 16-over par 232 (77-81-74).
