Baseball Announces Schedule Changes to Season-Opening Weekend

Navy to Open Season at No. 19 Virginia on Friday, Play UNCW on Saturday and Ohio on Sunday

ANNAPOLIS, Md. – Due to expected inclement weather on Friday in Wilmington, N.C., the Navy baseball team has announced several schedule changes to its season-opening weekend.
 
Navy's season opener on Friday, Feb. 17 against No. 19 Virginia has now been moved to the Cavaliers' Disharoon Park in Charlottesville, Va., with game time set for 2 p.m.
 
Additionally, multiple adjustments have been made to UNCW's Hughes Bros. Challenge on Saturday and Sunday. The Midshipmen will square off against host UNCW on Saturday, Feb. 18 at 6 p.m., while Navy and Ohio are now set for an 11 a.m. first pitch on Sunday, Feb. 19 at Brooks Field.
 
Admission to Friday's game in Charlottesville will be free, and parking will be free of charge as well in the JPJ South and West lots on a first come, first served basis. The contest will air live on ACCNX and can be heard on WINA (98.9 FM/1070 AM) or WINA.com. Live stats will also be available via StatBroadcast.
 
Tickets are needed for Saturday and Sunday's contests in Wilmington, with Saturday night's game being streamed on FloBaseball.tv and live stats for both games available at StatBroadcast.com.
 
All ticket holders with tickets to a game in which date and opponent has changed can exchange their tickets to the new date and time. Please contact the ticket office at 910-962-3233 to exchange tickets.

Saturday, 10:30 a.m., Ohio at UNCW
Saturday, 2 p.m., Virginia vs. Ohio
Saturday, Navy at UNCW, 6 p.m.
 
Sunday, 11 a.m., Navy vs. Ohio
Sunday, 3 p.m., Virginia at UNCW
 
Note: The 10:30 a.m. game on Saturday is contingent upon Friday's game beginning before 6 p.m. If the 6 p.m. game starts later than 6 p.m., then the 10:30 a.m. game will be canceled and the other two games will be moved up an hour to 1 and 5 p.m.
