ANNAPOLIS, Md. -- The Navy men's tennis team (7-9) lost a pair of matches Saturday in Florida, losing a 6-1 match (2-1) to Rollins College in Winter Park, Fla., and a 4-2 decision to Air Force (8-1) at the USTA National Campus in Orlando.

Rollins 6, Navy 1
The Mids had another good start to the match as they won the doubles point for the 12th time this season.  The match at the No. 1 flight decided the point, with Luke Garner (So., Arnold, Md.) and Sasha Panyan (Jr., Lutherville, Md.) combining for a 7-6 (7-4) win over Efe Comu and Luke Quaynor.

The Tars would win six straight-set singles matches from the Mids.

Air Force 4, Navy 2
Just as in the Rollins match, the Mids won two of the three doubles matches to take an early 1-0 advantage.  Also just as in the first match of the day, the doubles point was both decided in the third match to finish and in a tiebreaker.  This time, it was the No. 3 team of Herrick Legaspi (Fr., Sacramento, Calif.) and Nicholas Nguyen (Jr., McLean, Va.) who won a 7-6 (7-4) match to secure the point.

After Air Force tied the match with a win at No. 1 singles, J.J. Etterbeek (Fr., Bloomfield Hills, Mich.) won a 6-2, 6-2 match to give Navy a 2-1 lead.  The Falcons won the next three matches -- two of which were decided in three sets -- to rally for the win.
