ANNAPOLIS, Md. – The Navy women's tennis team (3-2) is set to open up the month of February with another home doubleheader, as the Midshipmen host Towson (0-0) and Saint Joseph's (0-0) on Saturday, Feb. 4 at the Tose Family Tennis Center.
Playing in the fourth and fifth contests of a six-match homestand, the Mids will look to extend their current three-match winning streak when they face the Tigers at 9 a.m. before squaring off with the Hawks at 1 p.m.
Defending the Home Courts
In addition to holding a perfect 3-0 record at home this season, Navy also enters Saturday on a seven-match home winning streak dating back to March 26, 2022 … Freshman
Sia Chaudry and sophomore
Kate Lee are both 3-0 at home this spring in singles play, with Chaudry boasting a combined 5-0 record at home this spring between singles and doubles action … The last home loss for the Mids came against nationally-ranked Old Dominion in a 5-2 battle on March 24 of last year … Navy is 185-42 all-time in Annapolis, having not lost more than two home matches in a season since 2019.
Last Time Out
The Mids earned a 7-0 home sweep over Morgan State last Sunday, improving to 9-0 all-time against the Bears … Chaudry and senior captain

Scouting the Tigers
Saturday will be Towson's spring opener, as the Tigers have been off since playing in three fall tournaments … Towson finished last season with a 9-13 record, going 1-5 in conference play before falling to William & Mary in the first round of the CAA Tournament … Sarah Popischill returns for the Tigers after posting a team-best 10-10 singles record last season, while Lea Kosanovic is the top doubles returner with a 9-9 mark in 2021-22 … Towson will face one other Patriot League school this spring, hosting Loyola on April 13.
Scouting the Hawks
Saint Joseph's is also set to make their spring debut on Saturday, coming off a four-tournament fall season that saw SJU at the ITA Atlantic Regional alongside Navy … Ireland Amato is back after pacing the Hawks last season with 14 singles victories, one of three SJU players to reach double-digit singles wins … Stow Weiss is the top returning doubles player with a 14-9 record last season, including an 8-3 mark when paired with Amanda Nava … Saint Joseph's has one other Patriot League team on their spring schedule, heading to Lafayette on April 12.
