BETHLEHEM, Pa. - Stephanie Jacobs earned her first Patriot League Women's Field-Athlete-of-the-Week accolade for her performance in the pole vault last Saturday at the Virginia Grand Prix.

The Belleville, Ill., native posted a program record height of 4.01m (13' 1.75") to place third in Charlottesville. Her mark is the best in the Patriot League this season and one of only two of at least 4.00m. Additionally, her height ranks fourth in the Mid-Atlantic Region. 

Jacobs and the Mids resume competition this week with two meets. Navy will play host to the Navy Spring Invitational II, which is scheduled for Friday (11 a.m.) and Saturday (9:15 a.m.) at Ingram Field. The Mids will also send athletes to the Virginia Challenge in Charlottesville, Va., from Thursday through Saturday.
