ANNAPOLIS, Md.--Navy head football coach Brian Newberry released the names of the 2023 football recruiting class on Thursday as 64 prospects representing 23 states reported to the Naval Academy.
 
Texas, Maryland and Georgia produced the most recruits with nine prospects each. Six plebes hail from Florida and five from North Carolina.

Navy opens up the 2023 campaign on Saturday, August 26 vs. Notre Dame in Dublin, Ireland.  The home opener is Saturday Sept. 9 vs. Wagner.  Navy also has home games against USF (9/30), North Texas (10/7), Air Force (10/21), UAB (11/11) and East Carolina (11/18).
