O’Donohue Announces Men’s Soccer Class of 2027

The Reigning Patriot League Champions Welcome Eight Newcomers for the 2023 Season

ANNAPOLIS, Md. – Navy men's soccer head coach Tim O'Donohue announced the addition of eight players as part of the class of 2027 on Friday.
 
With the newcomers arriving at the Naval Academy on Induction Day last month from six different states, the Midshipmen officially welcomed Dylan Carmody, Piercen Fisher, Alex Galloway, Ben Leisegang, Luc Ramalho, Victor Saade, Ryan Skandalis and Nate Stewart to the 2023 roster.
 
"We are very excited about this freshman class," said O'Donohue. "It is a very technical group with high soccer IQ and they will continue to help us play at a high level. The eight newcomers will also be great additions to our team culture."
 
Dylan Carmody – 6-4 – Goalkeeper – Elkridge, Md.
Was the starting goalkeeper for Baltimore Armour MLS Next 2005 … Played with fellow collegiate soccer players Kenny Quist-Therson (Maryland), Bryant Mayer (Northwestern) and Tyler Flynn (Penn State) … Graduated from Mount Saint Joseph High School in Baltimore … Also played hockey at Howard High School … Son of Ryan and Linda Carmody.
 
Piercen Fisher – 6-1 – Midfielder – Tulsa, Okla.
Played with the FC Tulsa USL Academy … Spent parts of club career playing for the Tulsa Soccer Club and Blitz United Academy … While with TSC, won two ECNL National Championships, was a U-13 Dallas Cup finalist and was a 2017 regional champion … Named to the All-ECNL First Team during his time with Tulsa SC … Son of Kauleen and Shaun Fisher.
 
Alex Galloway – 6-0 – Defender – Longwood, Fla.
Product of the Orlando City Youth Soccer Club, representing Orlando City SC in the MLS Next … Named an All-Star at both the 2022 MLS NEXT Winter Fest and the 2023 National Academy Championship … Attended Bishop Moore Catholic High School in Orlando … Son of Tracy and Paul Galloway.
 
Ben Leisegang – 5-8 – Midfielder – Trabuco Canyon, Calif.
Played for Cal United Strikers FC's U19 MLS Next Team … Previously trained with Orange County Soccer Club II, Colchester United's U18 Academy Team (United Kingdom) and FC Malaga City's U19 Team (Spain) … Selected to the U.S. Youth Soccer Olympic Development Program U18 National Team in January 2022 … Played his freshman year at Santa Margarita Catholic High School, being named the Boy's Soccer Scholar-Athlete of the Year … Born in Johannesburg, South Africa … Son of Ian and Sally Leisegang … Father, Ian, played on the U21 South African National Field Hockey Team.
 
Luc Ramalho – 5-8 – Midfielder – Marietta, Ga.
Played with the North Atlanta Soccer Association's U18/19 ECNL Team … Named Southeast U17 All-Conference as a junior … Won the ENCL Southeast Conference Championship as a senior … Also spent four years playing for the boy's soccer team at Alan C. Pope High School … Son of Daniel Ramalho and Flavia Souza.
 
Victor Saade – 6-0 – Defender – Weston, Fla.
Product of the Orlando City SC Academy … Previously played for the Weston FC MLS Next team and the South Florida Football Academy … Helped Weston FC win the U16 MLS NEXT Cup in the 2020-21 season … Served as the team captain for the U17 Weston FC squad during the 2021-22 season … Attended Cypress Bay High School, also attending Florida Virtual High School … Son of Andre Saade and Karin Meyerfreund.
 
Ryan Skandalis – 5-9 – Midfielder – Bel Air, Md.
Played four years of soccer at the John Carroll School … Spent club career with Pipeline SC's ECNL team … Earned All-State, Baltimore Sun All-Metro, All-County and All-MIAA honors as a junior at John Carroll … Named All-Region, All-State, Baltimore Sun All-Metro, All-County and All-MIAA following his senior year at John Carroll … Also played basketball and tennis at John Carroll … Served as class president twice … Co-founder and Vice President of the VolunTEEN service organization … Son of Chris and Molly Skandalis.
 
Nate Stewart – 6-0 – Midfielder – Phoenixville, Pa.
Product of the Philadelphia Union Academy program … Also played for FC Delco and Sporting Delaware … Played senior season for the Phoenixville High School boy's soccer team … Helped Phoenixville go undefeated during the 2022 regular season and reach the District 1 Class 3A final and PIAA 3A semifinals … Scored 19 goals and 26 assists in his one season of high school soccer … Named the Phoenixville Athlete of the Year and the Pottstown Mercury Player of the Year … Also earned All-State, All-Mercury and All-Conference honors as a senior … Son of Jason and Tracy Stewart … Father, Jason, was a track & field/cross country athlete at Army West Point.
