The 22nd-ranked and second-seeded Navy squash team (13-14) will face seventh-seeced Denison (10-8) on Friday at 12:00 pm in its opening-round match of the Summers Division at the 2024 College Squash Association (CSA) Divisional Team Championships held this weekend at the Arlen Specter US Squash Center in Philadelphia. Joining Navy and Denison in the Summers Division are top-seeded and 21st-ranked Hobart (8-9), #23 St. Lawrence (10-10), #24 Bowdoin (5-9), #25 Dickinson (6-11), #26 Bates (3-13), and #28 Hamilton (3-8) who are vying for the No. 21-28 positions in the tournament.

Twenty-two varsity programs will compete across three divisions this weekend: Hoehn Cup (13-20), Summers Cup (21-18), and Conroy Cup (29-34). The Potter Cup (teams ranked No. 1-12) - which determines the National Champion - will be held separately for the first time on Feb. 29 - March 3.

Mids at the CSA Team Championship
• Just 4 of the 9 Navy players have previously played in the CSA Team Championship.
• Because the 2021 tournament was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic, senior Henry Sparkman (5-1) will make just his third appearance at the tournament, along with juniors Lucas Spiro (5-1) and Matt Wang (4-2)
• Alexander Orr (3-0) will make his second appearance, while Matthew Kang, Ramsay Killinger, Tighe Mullarkey, Holden Woodward and Sean Wu will make their championship debut.
• The last time Navy competed in the Summers Cup (2022), the Mids put together an amazing run as the seventh seed, upsetting second-seeded Brown (5-4), third-seeded Amherst (5-4) and fifth-seeded Tufts (5-4) to win the title and finish 17th nationally
• Last year the Mids put a 2-1 record together to place third in the Conroy Cup (teams 25-34)
