ANNAPOLIS, Md. – Coming off a first-place finish at the Navy Spring Invitational, Navy sophomore Sue Lee was named the Patriot League Women's Golfer of the Week, the league office announced Wednesday.
 
Competing as an individual at the final tournament of the regular season, Lee notched an opening round of 77 before shooting a tournament-low round of 70 on the final 18 holes, registering a weekend score of 3-over par 147 to take first place on the leaderboard.
 
Lee's accolade is the third time this season a Midshipman has taken home Patriot League Golfer of the Week honors, joining senior Mara Hirtle on Oct. 4 and Emma Tang on Oct. 25.
 
Lee's first-place finish marks the second-straight Navy Spring Invitational and the third-straight home event won by a Mid, as Stephanie Lee claimed medalist honors at the 2023 Navy Spring Invitational and Hirtle won the 2023 Navy Fall Invitational.
 
Navy heads to the 2024 Patriot League Championship this week, competing Friday through Sunday at the Bucknell Golf Club in Lewisburg, Pa.
