ANNAPOLIS, Md. - The five-time defending ECAC Champions, the Navy gymnastics team will be looking to capture its sixth straight conference crown on Saturday when it travels to Springfield College for action at the 2024 ECAC Championship. The top seed among a six-team field, No. 9 Navy will aim to hold off the hard-charging No. 11 Springfield and No. 12 Greenville clubs, who've thrived down the stretch of the regular season, in addition to service academy rival No. 13 Army and the duo of No. 14 William & Mary and No. 15 Simpson. The action at Blake Arena is slated to begin at 1 p.m. Besides vying for the team title on Saturday, the top six scorers in the all-around competition and on each individual apparatus will earn All-ECAC honors.
The 2024 ECAC Championship will have live video and statistics posted on the Virtius platform.

The Navy gymnastics team continued its successful run of postseason action with a strong performance on its way to a fifth straight ECAC Championship title. Hosting a field of six talented conference foes, No. 9 Navy controlled the contest and rolled to a 7.7-point victory over its nearest rival No. 12 Springfield. Four event individual winners and five of the top-six scores on the high bar aided the Mids to the win in front of a loud and boisterous crowd at the Halsey Field House Gymnastics Facility.
The final scoreboard had Navy first with 394.45 and Springfield College second at 386.75. William & Mary rounded out the podium in third place with 383.55 points. The second half of the leaderboard was Army in fourth at 377.65, Greenville in fifth at 376.25 and Simpson in sixth with 346.65 points.
Navy received contributions from across its roster as Midshipmen gymnasts won individual titles in four of the six events.

As a team, Navy scored 68.4 points on the floor exercise, 63.4 on the pommel horse, 63.7 on the rings, 69.3 on the vault, 65.9 on the parallel bars and 64.95 on the high bar.

Last Time Out ~ USAG Collegiate Championships: March 22 & 23
The postseason journey for the No. 9 Navy men's gymnastics team began on Friday with action at the 2024 USAG Collegiate Championship. Taking on a talented six-team field, in which the top-four programs were separated by just 2.6 points in scoring average entering Friday's competition, the Mids posted a season-high score of 398.25, but unfortunately came up just short of the host No. 10 Air Force Falcons' victorious score of 401.65. No. 11 Greenville University grabbed the final spot on the podium for the team event at Cadet West Gym with a 390.75 effort.
Individually, the Mids were led by 10 different gymnasts qualifying for Saturday's event finals.
Matthew Petros highlighted the team's success after placing first on the vault and parallel bars and tying for fifth on the high bar.

As a team, Navy scored 67.85 points on the floor exercise, 65.10 on the pommel horse, 63.95 on the rings, 69.90 on the vault, 65.55 on the parallel bars and 65.90 on the high bar. The Mids' floor exercise score was a season-high, while their high bar performance was the second-best of 2024.
In Saturday's individual finals, the Mids had 10 different gymnasts competing 12 times over the six-event finals and came away with 10 top-six podium finishes. Suiting up in three separate events,
Matthew Petros led the way with three silver medal-winning performances on the vault, parallel bars and high bar.
