WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – Placing 10th for its best finish at NCAAs in program history, the Navy women's golf team wrapped up its season on Wednesday with the final round of the NCAA Bermuda Run Regional in Winston-Salem, N.C.
Shooting a 309 in the third round of regional play at the par-72, 6,297-yard Bermuda Run Country Club, the Midshipmen narrowly edged out Charleston Southern for 10th place by one stroke, carding a 46-over par 910 (302-299-309) for the three-day event.
Ole Miss made a day-three charge up the leaderboard to finish first in the regional at 21-under par 843, while Texas was second at 20-under par 844 and regional host Wake Forest took third at 18-under par 846. Mississippi State (3-under par 861) and Oregon State (2-under par 862) both advanced to the NCAA Championships as well by placing fourth and fifth, respectively.
The Rebels' Caitlyn Macnab and the Demon Deacons' Rachel Kuehn tied for first place on the player leaderboard by posting three-round scores of 12-under par 204.
For the second time in three days, freshman
Emma Tang was the top Navy golfer with a closing round of 73, tying for 32nd at 5-over par 221 (72-76-73).

Stephanie Lee (77-74-79), sophomore
Sue Lee (76-75-79) and rookie
Keira Howard (77-75-78) all finished in a five-way tie for 51st at 14-over par 230, with Howard's 78 being the second-best round of the day for the Mids.
Shooting a 90 on Wednesday, sophomore
Hallie Brisco closed the regional in 63rd with a score of 29-over par 245 (80-75-90).
