Landon Robinson Named Second-Team All-American by the Walter Camp Foundation

ANNAPOLIS, Md.—Navy senior nose guard Landon Robinson has been named a Second-Team All-American by the Walter Camp Foundation.  Robinson is the first Navy player to be named an All-American by Walter Camp in 40 years (Napoleon McCallum in 1985) and the first defensive player in 50 years (Chet Moeller in 1975).

Robinson, who was named a First-Team All-American by Sports Illustrated and USA Today earlier this week, has recorded 54 tackles, a team-high 8.5 tackles for a loss, a team-high 6.5 sacks and a team-high seven hurries for the Mids this season. He leads the American in sacks per game, which is highly unusual for an interior defensive player.

Robinson was the only player from the American Conference on the first or second team. The first team defensive line was: Cashius Howell (Texas A&M), Rueben Bain Jr. (Miami), Kayden McDonald (Ohio State) and John Henry Daley (Utah). The second team was: Robinson, Colin Simmons (Texas), Nadame Tucker (Western Michigan) and Caden Curry (Ohio State).

Robinson, who came to Navy as a linebacker, is known for his prolific strength as he has been named to Bruce Feldman's (The Athletic) Freaks List three times in his career.

Robinson Squats 700lbs, benches 465lbs, power cleans 350lbs, has a 33-inch vertical and has run a top speed of 20.13mph according to Catapult. He was ranked #13 on Feldman's Freaks List for 2025.

Robinson dominated last year's Army-Navy game, recording a career-high 13 tackles and was Navy's third-leading rusher with 29 yards on a fake punt, as Navy won the Commander-In-Chief's Trophy with a 31-13 win.

Earlier this year, he had seven tackles, 1.5 sacks and recovered his first-career fumble in Navy's 34-31 win over Air Force.

Robinson was named one of seven semifinalists for the Outland Trophy and was one of only two defensive linemen to be named a finalist.
