Isaiah Drake collected his third ECAC Gymnast of the Week honor of 2025 late Tuesday afternoon.
Competing in his Senior Day meet, Drake (Sr., Los Angeles, Calif.) was a perfect three-for-three as he placed first on the rings, vault and high bar against the Panthers. He dominated the rings with a 0.75-point margin of victory as he posted a career-best 14.05 score courtesy of a 9.35 execution score of his 4.6 level routine and a 0.1 stick bonus. With the meet's final decision hanging in the balance, Drake was a stalwart on the high bar as he tallied 13.55 points for the Mids as the host's overcame a 1.9-point deficit going into the final rotation. Once again, he earned a 0.1 stick bonus to add onto his 8.95 execution score and 4.5 level of difficulty. He placed first in the event by 0.60 points over teammate
Boone Washburn. Drake's third win on Friday came on the vault as he posted a 14.1 score via 9.3-point execution and 4.8-difficulty marks.Â
This is the 14th ECAC weekly honor of Drake's storied career and third of 2025. As a program, Navy has earn four ECAC weekly awards this season: Drake (Jan. 14, Feb. 4 and March 18) and
Brian Solomon (Gymnast of the Week, Jan. 21)
Drake and the Mids will be away from competition this weekend before kicking off postseason action with the USAG Collegiate Championships on March 28-29. The two-day event will be hosted at Navy inside the Halsey Field House Gymnastics Facility, first touch for Friday's team competition is scheduled for 2 p.m., while Saturday's event finals begin at 1 p.m.
