ANNAPOLIS, Md. – The Navy women's rugby team returns to the pitch when it travels to Frostburg, Md., to participate in the Frostburg 7s Tournament this Sunday. The first match is set to begin at 10 a.m.

Last Time Out: West Chester 7s

Navy posted a 3-1 record and finished in second place at the West Chester 7s Tournament on March 30 in West Chester, Pa. The Midshipmen defeated West Chester (25-12), West Chester's Gold Team (50-0) and Princeton (17-10) before falling to the Golden Rams in the finals (21-17).

Kyndall Wyngaard led the team with five scored tries, including a hat-trick performance in the victory over West Chester.

Arica Spencer had a big debut on Navy's No. 1 team as she scored four goals, including three tries in the match against West Chester's Gold Team.

Scouting Frostburg State

• Frostburg State has competed in two tournaments and boasts a 5-2-1 record in 7s competition this season.
• LaJess Jordan leads the team in scoring this spring with 37 total points.
• The Bobcats had their first winning season in program history in the fall as they posted a 5-4 record. Navy handed Frostburg its first loss of the 15s season with a dominating 59-5 victory.

Scouting Mount St. Mary's

• Mount St. Mary's will be competing in its fifth spring tournament this year. The Mount finished the 15s season with a 0-8 record.
• The two teams met at the Navy 7s Tournament in Annapolis on March 23, where the Mids bested the Mountaineers 28-12.

Scouting Wheeling

• The Cardinals had a Cinderella inaugural season as a program this fall with a 12-0 record that was highlighted with a National Collegiate Rugby (NCR) National Championship victory over Southern Nazarene (58-17).
• Wheeling will be competing in its sixth 7s tournament this season. The Cardinals won the St. Bonaventure 7s Championship in their last outing on March 30.
• Navy and Wheeling will square off for the first time as a varsity program on Saturday.
