ANNAPOLIS, Md. – The Navy baseball team (22-19, 13-9 PL) will finish up a short four-game homestand on Tuesday evening when it hosts William & Mary (15-24, 9-6 CAA) in non-conference action at Terwilliger Brothers Field at Max Bishop Stadium.
 
Renewing a series that has been dormant since 1981, the Midshipmen and Tribe are set for a 5:05 p.m. first pitch on ESPN+.
 
Midweek Musings
Posting a 5-4 midweek record last season, Navy is 6-1 this year in midweek contests with wins over Manhattan, Fordham, Dartmouth, Coppin State, UMES and Bucknell … Navy is batting .265 as a team in midweeks this spring while posting a 4.75 team ERA … Jack Killelea leads the team with a .467 batting average (7-for-16) in four midweek games this season, scoring six times while also drawing six walks  … Victor Izquierdo has batted .364 in those seven contests with 14 RBI … Ty DePerno is hitting .368 across those seven midweek games, tallying seven runs and five RBI along with 11 walks … Mason Ceccarelli has tallied a .389 average in five midweek starts, also walking seven times in those games … Izquierdo batted .444 in midweek games last season, racking up four doubles, eight runs and 10 RBI over those nine starts, while 12 walks helped him post a .625 on-base percentage in midweeks.

Navy closer Landon Kruer notched his Patriot League-record 29th career save in the March 22 game one win over Bucknell, passing former Holy Cross pitcher John Colella (28 saves) for top spot in the league record book … The Navy closer now holds 32 career saves in total … Currently leading the Patriot League with seven saves this season, Kruer has previously led the league in saves each of the previous three campaigns … Kruer's now-32 career saves also make him the active career leader across all three NCAA divisions.
 
Manning Powering Up
Andrew Manning has been heating up for Navy over his last 15 games, hitting .352 in that span with a .593 slugging percentage … Racking up 10 runs scored and 10 RBI in that stretch, the sophomore has tallied four doubles and three home runs while also adding on five walks and one steal … The right fielder has also played perfect defense on 36 chances … Manning has seven multi-hit games in that span, including a three-hit contest in the April 13 nightcap at Lafayette … On the season, Manning is hitting .275 with a league-leading six homers and a team-high 29 runs scored … Manning is also batting .311 in 22 league games this year with a team-best 16 RBI and five homers.
