Women’s Golf Selected for NCAA Gold Canyon Regional

Navy Headed to Arizona State-Hosted Regional at the Superstition Mountain Golf and Country Club on May 5-7

ANNAPOLIS, Md. – Fresh off its second-straight Patriot League Championship, the Navy women's golf team will take part in the 2025 NCAA Gold Canyon Regional, it was announced Wednesday by the NCAA.

The Midshipmen were an automatic qualifier and are the No. 11 seed in the Gold Canyon Regional, hosted by Arizona State University. The Gold Canyon Regional will be played at the Superstition Mountain Golf and Country Club in Gold Canyon, Ariz.

"We are excited to head to Arizona for the NCAA Regional," said Navy head coach Kylee Sullivan, who was named the Patriot League Coach of the Year for the second-consecutive year on Sunday. "It's a strong region and we are looking forward to showcasing our games at the national level. We are also honored to be the 11-seed in the region and it's exciting to see where the program is heading."

This marks Navy's third-ever NCAA Regional appearance following berths in 2021 and 2024.

Regional play will take place May 5-7 at all six regional sites. All six regional sites will have 12 teams and six individuals. The top five teams (30 teams total) and the low individual not on an advancing team (six individuals total) from each regional site will advance to play in the national championships to be played May 16-21 at Omni La Costa Resort in Carlsbad, Calif.

The 12 teams competing at the Gold Canyon Regional site include, in order of seed, Oregon, Arizona State, Auburn, Mississippi State, Oklahoma State, California, Virginia Tech, San Jose State, Sacramento State, Cal State Fullerton, Navy and Quinnipiac.

Navy claimed the 2025 Patriot League Championship by 38 strokes over runner-up Boston University at the Saucon Valley Country Club this past weekend as sophomore Emma Tang took home the individual medal, while junior Sue Lee and freshman Megan Kirkpatrick shared runner-up honors.
