Women’s Golf Announces 2025-26 Freshman Class

Navy Welcomes Four Freshmen to 2025-26 Roster

ANNAPOLIS, Md. – Navy women's golf head coach Kylee Baker officially announced the addition of four new members to the team on Tuesday, with freshmen Elizabeth Hang, Angelina Kim, Malerie Lague and Iliana Rubio joining the program for the 2025-26 season.
 
"We are incredibly excited for this incoming class," said Baker. "These four young women have proved themselves in junior and high school golf, as well as in the classroom and in their community. They will make an immediate impact on this team in many ways. We are looking forward to watching them grow as golfers and Midshipmen."
 
The four newcomers join a team that brings back seven returners from last season's back-to-back Patriot League Championship squad.
 
Elizabeth Hang – 5-6 – Pleasanton, Calif.
Personal: Played four years of varsity golf at Foothill High School … Helped Foothill claim the CIF North Coast Section Division 1 championship in 2022 … Junior career included the US Kids Golf Teen Series championship and US Kids Regional Monterey challenge title in 2021, as well as a pair of first-place finishes in AJGA qualifier tournaments in 2023 and another AJGA-qualifier individual medal in 2024 … Selected as a Rolex Scholastic Junior All-American … Daughter of Qun Hang and Ting Zhu.
 
Angelina Kim – 5-7 – Tenafly, N.J.
Personal: Played four years of varsity golf at the Academy of the Holy Angels … Posted an individual runner-up finish at the 2023 National High School Golf Invitational, leading AHA to a third-place team finish … Named the 2023 Golfer of the Year by the Bergen Record and NewJersey.com as a sophomore, also taking home Bergen Record Female Athlete of the Week honors … Was a finalist for the 2024 NJ.com Girls Golfer of the Year … Was the individual winner at the 2022, 2023 and 2024 Bergen County Championships, also taking first place at the 2022 and 2023 Big North Conference Championship … Helped the Holy Angels team claim four-straight Bergen County Championship titles, four-consecutive Big North Conference Championships and four-straight Arcola Invitational team titles … Led AHA to the 2022, 2023 and 2024 New Jersey State Sectional titles as well as the 2023, 2024 and 2025 New Jersey HS State Championships … Was a four-time first-team all-division, All-Bergen County and All-Big North Conference selection … Selected as a 2025 Rolex Scholastic All-American … Served as the team captain during junior and senior years … High school teammate of Inha Jun (NYU) … Junior career included being a 2024 USGA Women's Fourball Quarterfinalist and taking eighth place at the 2024 AJGA Panama Junior tournament … 2025 National Merit Scholarship Program Commended Student … Was the silver medalist and bronze medalist in the 2022 and 2023 National Spanish Exams, respectively … Daughter of Moohyun Kim and Junghee Oh.
 
Malerie Lague – 5-6 – Huntersville, N.C.
Personal: Played four years of varsity golf at Christ the King Catholic High School … Claimed the 1A/ 2A North Carolina state individual championship in 2023, also earning CSAC Golfer of the Year distinction … Won the 2024 1A/2A North Carolina west region individual championship, leading Christ the King to the 1A/2A west regional team championship as well … Finished top-5 individually at the 2021 and 2022 1A/ 2A state championships … Earned all-state honors as a sophomore, junior and senior … Garnered All-Catawba Shores Athletic Conference and All-West Region selections in each of her four years competing for CTK … Served as a team captain all four years CTK Catholic … Junior career included being the 2024 HJGT Charlotte Spring Junior Open champion, taking third place at the 2023 Mimosa Hills Jr. Invitational and claiming the 2022 Skybrook Junior Open title … Daughter of Jacques and Sherene Lague.
 
Iliana Rubio – 5-6 – El Dorado Hills, Calif.
Personal: Played four years of varsity golf at Oak Ridge High School … Named all-league selection in each of her four seasons at Oak Ridge … Was crowned the 2023 CIF NorCal girls individual champion as a junior, helping the Oak Ridge program take second place in its first CIF tournament appearance … Led Oak Ridge to a divisional title during senior campaign … Served as team captain during junior and senior years … Competed at the 2025 U.S. Women's Amateur Four-Ball Championship … Daughter of Michael and Dora Rubio.
