ANNAPOLIS, Md. – Continuing a stretch of three tournaments in a 15-day span, the Navy women's golf team is set to compete Sunday and Monday at the Nittany Lion Invitational in University Park, Pa.
Being played at Penn State's par-72, 6,363-yard Blue Course, the Midshipmen will begin competition with a 9 a.m. shotgun start on Sunday for the first and second rounds, while the final round is set for an 8:30 a.m. shotgun start on Monday.

Along with the host Nittany Lions, the Mids will be joined this weekend in the 17-team field by Akron, league foe Bucknell, frequent match-play opponent Delaware, Duquesne, Georgetown, James Madison, Maryland, Penn, Quinnipiac, Rollins College, Seton Hall, St. John's, Towson, UAlbany and Yale.

Hallie Brisco wrapped up play at the Jackson T. Stephens Cup on Tuesday, with Tang placing 33rd and Brisco finishing right behind in 34th at the conclusion of the third round at in Lake Bluff, Ill. … The two-day, 54-hole tournament at the par-70, 6,163-yard Shoreacres featured one of the strongest fields in Division I golf, with Tang and Brisco being among the five individuals invited to compete in the women's event … Tangshot 26-over par 236 for the week, while Brisco battled back to post a 43-over par 253.
Navy at the Nittany Lion Invitational
This weekend will mark the Mids' fifth trip to the Nittany Lion Invitational, previously attending the event in 2018, 2019, 2022 and 2023 … Navy set then-program records for lowest team round, lowest 54-hole team score and lowest 54-hole individual score at the 2018 Nittany Lion Invitational, as Morgan Frazier shot a 2-over par 218 to finish tied for seventh in the 90-golfer field while the Mids compiled a three-round total of 30-over par 894, shooting a team score of 5-over par 293 in the third round … The 2019 Nittany Lion Invitational saw the Mids take sixth place with a 48-over par 912, as Christine McDonnell led the team by tying for 11th in the 72-golfer field with a 4-over par 220 … 2022 had Stephanie Lee shoot a team-low 7-over par 223 for 24th place, while the squad earned ninth place at 41-over par 905 … The 2023 edition had the Mids place ninth once again at 61-over par 925, as Mara Hirtle and
Keira Howard finished in a seven-way tie for 18th place at 10-over par 226.
