ANNAPOLIS, Md. – Riding an undefeated start to the 2025 campaign, the Navy men's soccer team (1-0-3) is set to close out its season-opening homestand on Saturday with a 12-noon contest against Stonehill (1-3) at the Glenn Warner Soccer Facility.
 
Off to the program's best start since 2021, the Midshipmen will look to continue its four-game unbeaten streak against a Skyhawks opponent that will be making their first trip to Annapolis. Dave McHugh will have the call of Saturday's game on ESPN+.
 
A Hot Start
The 1-0-3 start is the Mids' longest unbeaten start to a season since a 5-0-1 start to the 2021 campaign … The 2021, 2020 and 2019 seasons all saw Navy go undefeated through at least the first four games … Andrew Schug's three goals through the first four games are the quickest by a Navy player since David Jackson scored three goals in the opening two games of the 2023 campaign … Navy is one of three undefeated Patriot League teams entering the weekend, joining Colgate (3-0-1) and Lehigh (2-0-2).
 
No Place Like Home
The Mids have posted an outstanding 19-9-14 mark at the Glenn Warner Soccer Facility since the start of the 2021 season … Navy has outscored opponents, 61-37, in those 42 games … Head coach Tim O'Donohue is 38-24-19 in his career at Glenn Warner … Senior Andrew Schug has seven goals and two assists in 24 career home games, while fellow senior A.J. Earning its first victory of the season, Navy moved its unbeaten start to four games with a 2-0 Labor Day win over Niagara on Monday … Powered by Duncan Sullivan's second three-point performance of the season and Andrew Schug pushing his point streak to four-straight contests, the Midshipmen also backed up Robert Eaton's first-career shutout, outshooting the Purple Eagles by a 19-5 margin and having the 8-3 corner-kick edge.

The current Navy seniors have gone 18-21-21 in their time in Annapolis, going 9-8-10 in league play and making a pair of Patriot League Tournaments, including winning the 2022 league title as freshmen … The Mids are 6-1-3 all-time when Schuetz records a point, while Navy has tallied a 5-1-3 mark when Schug scores … Navy is also 2-1-1 when Wyatt Stevens nets a goal … With Cawlfield's tally on Monday, Navy needs one other rookie to register a goal to have multiple freshmen score in a season for the first time since the fall 2020/spring 2021 campaign, when both David Jackson and Baba Kallie scored as plebes … Only two non-senior goalkeepers have started a game in net for Navy since 2019: Pierce Holbrook (2022, 2023) and Dylan Carmody (2025).

Andrew Schug's three goals are tied for the Patriot League lead with Bucknell's Jack Lucas and sit 16th nationally … Schug's 1.75 points per game also lead the league and rank 44th in the country, while Duncan Sullivan's 1.50 points per game are third in the PL and 75th in Division I … Navy leads the league with 6.25 corner kicks per game (37th nationally) and 15.5 shots per game (34th nationally).

Entering the weekend at 1-3, the Skyhawks started the season with losses to Colgate and Northeastern before notching a 3-2 win at Merrimack, but dropped its most recent contest, a 4-0 loss at UMass … Stonehill has had four different goal scorers this season, as James Forrest-Hay paces the team with three points … Finn Schueler has started three of the four games in net, picking up 10 saves over his 270 minutes of action … Stonehill's 0.641 shot accuracy ranks fourth in the nation … Nate Monteiro returns after being named to the NEC All-Rookie Team last season following a three-goal campaign.

The all-time series between Navy and Stonehill sits at 0-0-1 after the teams tied in their inaugural meeting last season … The Aug. 25, 2024 match saw both goals scored in the final 15 minutes of play, as Wyatt Stevens Navy fought back to earn the 1-1 draw against Stonehill in Easton, Mass. … Stevens' tally in the 83rd minute highlighted a team performance that included goalkeeper Pierce Holbrook making five saves, as the Mids battled back after the 76th-minute goal from the Skyhawks' Owen Burke in a match that saw the teams combined for 19 shots in the final 45 minutes.
