DANBURY, Conn. - The Eastern College Athletic Conference announced its first set of weekly gymnastics awards on Tuesday and Navy's Brian Solomon was at the top of the release as the ECAC Gymnast of the Week. Competing as an all-arounder in the Mids' season opening meet versus the Springfield Pride on Saturday afternoon, Solomon was strong throughout the event and was recognized by the conference for his success.

The junior from Lynnfield, Massachusetts turned a career-best all-around result of 79.05 that surpassed his previous high of 77.8 by 1.25 points. Solomon was locked in from the first rotation and netted the Mids 13.4 points on the floor exercise before following up that routine with a 13.25 on the pommel horse. During the middle portion of the meet, he posted a 13.0 on the rings and 13.65 on the vault before placing first on the parallel bars with a 12.7 and setting a career-high with a 13.05 on the high bar. Overall, he finished runner-up on the floor, rings and high bar and placed third on the vault and sixth on the pommel horse.

This is the second career ECAC Gymnast of the Week honor of his career as he was noted by the league on January 21, 2025.

Solomon and the Mids will be back in action this weekend with two days of competition at the 2026 West Point Open. The team and all-around event will be held on Friday, Jan. 16 before the event finals go off on Saturday, Jan. 17.
