Senior Snipe Eli Heidenreich Invited to the NFL Combine

ANNAPOLIS, Md.—Navy senior snipe Eli Heidenreich has been invited to the NFL combine, which will take place Feb. 23-March 2 at the Indiana Convention Center and Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis.

The invitation for Heidenreich marks the second-consecutive year that a Navy player earned an invite to the combine as Rayuan Lane III participated last year and was later drafted in the sixth round by the Jacksonville Jaguars.

The NFL Combine is an intensive week-long, invite-only event that assembles approximately 300 aspiring NFL rookies to showcase their post-college talents and skills. The entire event will be televised by the NFL Network.

The 2025 Navy football team will go down as one of the best in school history as the Mids won a school record tying 11 games, set the school record for wins in consecutive seasons with 21, won the Commander-In-Chief's Trophy in back-to-back years, defeated Cincinnati in the AutoZone Liberty Bowland won the Lambert Trophy for just the second time since 1963.

Heidenreich was invited to the East-West Shrine Game along with teammate Landon Robinson, making them the first Navy duo to play in the Shrine Bowl since 1957. You can watch both of them play on Tuesday night at 7 PM (ET) on the NFL Network.

He is just the second player in the FBS since 1956 to rush for 475 yards or more and have 925 yards receiving or more in the same season. The only other player to do that is Tavon Austin of West Virginia in 2012 (643 rushing, 1289 receiving).

Heidenreich's 16-career receiving touchdowns are the most in school history. His six touchdown catches in each of the last two seasons tied the single-season school record.

His 1,994-career receiving yards are the most in school history and his 941 receiving yards this year are the most in school history.

Heidenreich 51 catches this year are tied for the fifth-most catches in a single-season in school history, while his 109 career catches are the second most in school history.

Heidenreich had a career-high eight catches for a school-record 243 yards and a school-record tying 3 touchdown catches in Navy's win over Air Force this year. He is the first Navy player in school history to surpass 200 yards receiving in a game.

Heidenreich is graded as the second-best running back in the FBS with a grade of 92.9 by Pro Football Focus (PFF has Heidenreich listed as a fullback) and his receiving grade of 94.4 is the best of any running back or wide receiver.
