Head Coach Keith Puryear Comments
"The Navy ladies played solid tennis today. As stated yesterday, it was important to use the Virginia Tech match as a springboard for our continued development. The coaching staff feels we did just that. Both teams today are well coached. Villanova is generally one of the top schools in the Big East and had just beaten our Patriot League foe Bucknell the day before, while Mason had started the spring at 3-0. Doubles had energy in both matches and it showed in the results, we got off on the right foot and singles today was good as well. In the matches we did go down in, we did a good job of staying the course, battling to grab the momentum back from our opponents. We'll look to prep for another challenging weekend after a break on Monday."
