ANNAPOLIS, Md. — Coming off a seven-goal, two-assist performance against Colgate over the weekend, Navy's
Alec Gregorek (So / A / Wading River, N.Y.) has been named the Patriot League Men's Lacrosse Offensive Player of the Week. A first-time recipient of the award, Gregorek is the second Navy player (
Mac Haley) to earn the offensive award from the Patriot League this season and the fifth overall to earn a weekly award from the league in 2026.
Gregorek scored five of his nine points in the third and fourth quarters when the Mids went on a 5-2 run to take a 14-11 lead early in the final frame. He scored four of Navy's five goals during that run, while assisting on the fifth goal.
Scoring his seven goals on 10 shots, both his goal and point totals were the most by a Navy player since David Little's school-record nine goals (on nine shots) and nine points against Lehigh on March 25, 2017.
Additionally, Gregorek's performance helped etch his name into the record books as one of Navy's top single-season goal scorers in program history. His 32 goals this spring are the most by a Navy player since Casey Rees closed out the 2016 campaign with 34 goals
In addition to Gregorek, Holy Cross' Julian Jenkins (defense), Boston U.'s Madden Murphy (faceoff), Loyola's Max Watkinson (goalkeeper) and Colgate's Emmet Crotty (rookie) received weekly Patriot League honors as their respective positions.
Navy returns to action on Saturday when it plays host to Holy Cross in a nationally-televised contest. The second game of a men's and women's doubleheader, the Mids and Crusaders face off at 3:00 pm in a contest broadcast live on CBS Sports Network. Additionally, Joe Miller will have the radio call on 1430 WNAV.
