HAMILTON, N.Y. – The #7 / #6 Navy women's lacrosse team (15-1, 7-1 Patriot League) recorded a 23-7 road victory over Colgate (5-9, 3-5 Patriot League) on Saturday morning at Crown Field at Andy Kerr Stadium. Twelve different Midshipmen scored in the game, while the Mids' defense held its 10th opponent of the season to single digits.
"For us, it was a total team effort and another opportunity for players to get out onto the field to represent Navy women's lacrosse," head coach
Cindy Timchal said after the game. "I am happy for the players. Today was the third game in a week that we started out by beating Army. We really wanted to focus in on executing on the offensive end and limiting Colgate's offense. We felt like we accomplished that.
"I am proud of our players. They find joy in playing hard and doing the extra things," Timchal added. "The coaching staff did a great job. As a team, we locked into the draws, the defense, and were able to score some goals. Colgate is a long trip so I am proud of the team for locking in and bringing home another victory for Navy women's lacrosse."
